Chanda Kumar Behera and Lucky Rani Patra emerged champion of champions in the men and women categories of the 4th Bhaina Memorial Odisha Open Armwrestling Tournament, which was organised by Bhaina Memorial Trust here at Utkal Karate School yesterday.
Behera won the title in 100kg category, which fetched him a cash prize of Rs 3,000. Patra became richer by Rs 2,000 after claiming the title in 75kg category. According to media reports, altogether 100 arm-wrestlers from eight districts, including 20 women vied for honours in 19 weight categories.
However, in the women section, five competitors won titles unopposed as they had no opponent in the fray. Other two women categories featured only two competitors each. Sradhanjali Samantaray, former captain of India women`s football team, gave away the trophies and cash prizes at the closing function.

MASTER (Men): 70-80kg: 1. Sashikanta Jena, 2. John Debasis Das. 80-90kg: 1. Gouranga C Patra, 2. Chitta Ranjan Mishra.
